Startup Bootcamp 2017

Indian Institute of Technology, Madras has been at the forefront of India's technology revolution and aims at producing Potential Leaders of Tomorrow. E-Cell (Entrepreneurship Cell) is a student body of IIT Madras aimed to imbue the spirit of entrepreneurship among the student and faculty community of various colleges across India, to take on entrepreneurial challenges and assist them in their efforts to launch and run business ventures. Our institute supports student-led entrepreneurship and is evident by the fact that 4 of the top 5 Student Startups are from IIT Madras campus in the list by Economic Times with Ather Energy as the winner of the ET Startup Award 2016.

E-Summit is the annual entrepreneurship fest of IIT Madras. E-Summit 2017 - Launching Leaders, scheduled on April 7-9, promises to be an amazing learning experience for entrepreneurs with its exciting and exclusive line-up of events.

One of the highlights of the E-Summit is the Startup Bootcamp. The motive of organizing Bootcamp is to provide a platform for very early stage startup teams to get mentored by professionals and industry experts to get their prototypes or ideas in best shape!

Last year Result

• Out of the top 12 teams, 4 managed to start early operations with E-Cell playing an integral role in their progress.


• Featuring the top 2 teams:
Involve: Social project and an enterprise to be, which focuses on the methods to improve the learning of upper primary and secondary school students.
Pikkolo: Start-up which seeks to reduce the strain on the overly-burdened landfills while creating better working conditions for the waste-pickers.
